How this shop works
Everything below is what actually happens. Nothing here promises anything the shop has not agreed to do.
Paying
How do I pay?
Cash to the courier, when the box is in your hands. There is no card to enter and no account to make.
Do I need an account?
No. Give us a name, a phone number and an address at checkout and that is the whole of it. We ring you to confirm every order before it is sent.
Is there any other way to pay?
Not at the moment. Cash on delivery is how every order here is settled, which is also why nothing is charged until the box arrives.
Delivery
What does delivery cost?
Rs 100 inside the Kathmandu Valley, and free once the basket passes Rs 5,000.
Where do you deliver?
The Kathmandu Valley, for now. There is no shopfront to collect from: we are online only, and everything goes out by courier.
Do you deliver outside the valley?
Get in touch and we will arrange it. Ring +977 9748261442 or email hello@boardgamenepal.com with the title and where it needs to go, and we will tell you what the courier costs before anything is ordered.
How long does it take?
We ring to confirm first, then the box goes out from Kathmandu. Most of the valley has it in one to two days. Anything on pre-order takes as long as the shipment does, and we ring you with a date.
Stock
Can I buy something that is out of stock?
Yes. Pre-order it, and we put your name on a copy from the next shipment. Nothing is paid until it reaches you, exactly as with anything else here.
Can you get a game you do not stock?
Usually. Name the title and we will find out what it costs to bring in and tell you before anything is ordered. Asking costs nothing.
Playing
Can I visit the shop?
There is no shopfront. The shelf lives where the deliveries go out from, and the way to see the games on a table is to come to a game night.
Do you teach games?
That is what the game nights are for. We pull something off the shelf, teach the rules, and you play a round. It is free and you do not have to buy anything.
